This DVD features various bus events and running days that took place in the summer of 2025. These events are very important, providing opportunities for enthusiasts and the general public to see and ride on some of the many preserved buses in the UK. Many different buses, both old and new can be seen at these events.
The London Bus Museum Summer Festival, 22nd June 2025.
The London Bus Museum at Brooklands, Weybridge, Surrey held its summer festival on the 22nd June 2025. There was a display of Dennis vehicles to mark the 100th birthday of the museums' Dennis bus D142, plus a large number of visiting buses, both old and new.
The British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Bus Rally, 6th July 2025.
The bus rally at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire on the 5th July 2025 was organised by the transport museum at Wythall, Birmingham. There were many buses from the West Midlands, plus buses and coaches with local connections.
Low-ish Floor Running Day, East Grinstead, 13th July 2025.
The Low-ish Floor Running Day, organised by the North London Collection preservation group took place on the 13th July 2025. Two routes were operated from East Grinstead to Godstone via Lingfield. Buses operated on the services were all from the 1970s through to the 2000s. A very interesting day with some unusual buses taking part.
Imberbus, Warminster, 16th August 2025.
The classic bus service across Salisbury Plain to the lost village of Imber. The 23A bus service was provided by Routemasters and other preserved buses, plus a substantial number of modern buses that provided low floor access for less able passengers. Filmed in Warminster, Imber and Gore Cross.
Swanley Bus Garage 100, 23rd August 2025.
Swanley bus garage in Kent celebrated its 100th birthday on 23rd August 2025 with a special running day organised by the current occupant Go-Coach. Buses were running between Swanley and West Kingsdown and on a Swanley town service. Swanley bus garage was opened by the East Surrey Traction Co. in 1925 and later became a London Transport country area garage, code SJ.
