The Seetalbahn (Seetal Railway) is probably the most atypical railway line on the SBB route network. The railway line follows in large parts right next to the cantonal road and runs through the middle of villages. Countless level crossings make the Seetalbahn a very dangerous railway line. Collisions with road vehicles used to be almost the order of the day. The railway line has been modernized in many places in recent years and the route has been relocated in particularly dangerous places. The operation of the line is also unique. Some of the trains run according to the normal traffic regulations and some according to the regulations for trams.
The now disused routes from Emmenbrücke to Waldibrücke (via Emmen) and from Beromünster to Beinwil am See are included on the DVD as bonus clips. These two films were shot in 1991 and are still produced in the conventional 4: 3 aspect ratio.
