Ride in the cab of a Transpennine Express Class 185 from Manchester Piccadilly to Hull and witness a journey through the Industrial Revolution. It's a trip of two halves, with the first section to Leeds carving a route over and under some challenging landscape. Along the way, we pass through the magnificent Standedge Tunnel, one of the longest of its kind in England. From Leeds eastwards, the route becomes more manageable, and the ride across the fens of East Yorkshire produces eighteen miles of track that's as straight as an arrow to the very edge of the Humber Estuary.

There's a full commentary to guide you along the way, and for those who simply want to hear the power of the Cummings diesel engines, there's even the facility to turn it off.
