Filmed from the cab on a Thameslink service with EMU 319176.
Departing from Brighton Station, we call at Preston Park, Hassocks, Burgess Hill, Wivelsfield and Haywards Heath and proceed to Three Bridges and Gatwick. After the airport station, we quickly progress onto East Croydon and then to London Bridge.
Our interesting route takes us to Metropolitan Junction, Blackfriars Junction and cross the Thames to Blackfriars and the steep gradient into City Thameslink.
After passing through the lengthy Kings Cross tunnel, we join the Midland Main Line at West Hampstead Junction and follow the down fast line to St Albans. Our next calls are at Harpenden, Luton and Leagrave. We have now changed to another unit here (No. 319171) so that we can run through Harlington without stopping. Our route learning service ends at Bedford.
