Disc 1: Dénia – Benidorm (Line 9) 46 minutes
First we take a journey from Benidorm to Denia in 1977 (cine). Today a train departs Denia every hour and we pass our first northbound service at Teulada. At Calp (Calpe) a local bus departs down the steep hill into the town famous for the large rock. The next passing point is at Altea where we watch services cross in the evening sun. Eventually we terminate at busy Benidorm and see sets swap for the next Denia departure.
Disc 2: Benidorm – Alicante TRAM (Lines 1, 3 & 4) 74 minutes
At Benidorm passengers change from the DMU from Denia to join the tram service to Alicante. Departures are every 30 minutes. Services are seen crossing the high bridge at La Vila Joiosa. About midway at Venta Lanuza there is an opportunity to change onto the Line 3 all-stops service, while our Line 1 service becomes limited stop. Between Les Llances and Costa Blanca the line runs along the promenade then inland again. Lines 1 & 3 terminate in Alicante at the underground Mercado. 2009 sees the new line opening from Playa de San Juan and we travel from here to the main route at Lucentum. This service then stays by the coast and leaves lines 1 & 3 to head towards the old FEVE station. We terminate at Puerta Del Mar.
