Tram Sunday cancelled, Rigby Road tram depot closed, Heritage tram service reduced and to be suspended, North Station extension still not completed and 'winter' tram service all-year-round - not a great deal of good news from Blackpool in 2023!

Don't worry - now into our 30th year - the Blackpool Tram DVD continues! With a huge archive of footage, spanning more than a quarter of a century, we can bring you the good news to help banish the Blackpool blues!

This latest edition looks at the News from the summer and autumn plus the Year End but concentrates on the life and times of eight trams that have recently departed Blackpool or been scrapped:

Summer/Autumn 2023: With the Heritage service reduced and most of the more interesting trams now out of service, we look at the what was left with the Train, Warship and two Balloons working off Starr Gate depot. Includes 012 in its new advert livery.

Year End: 35 trams ran in passenger service during 2023. Some of them were only used a couple of times but all 18 Heritage cars and the 17 Flexitys that ran during the year are shown here.

Nostalgia Special: The life and times of 625, 627, 634, 641, 645, 678, 708 and 726: Probably the most detailed histories of Blackpool trams ever produced on video; from early B&W images in the 1950s and 1960s, when numbered 2xx/3xx and the likes of 278 hauling T8 , through to 641 brand new in 1984, and then the 21st century and to 2022/23, prior to leaving Blackpool or being scrapped, with every fleet and advert livery carried.
