Electrification of London's bus routes continues apace, this DVD covers 2023 and 2024. The following types of electric bus feature on this DVD: BYD/Alexander-Dennis Enviro400EV, Wrightbus Streetdeck Electroliner, Volvo BZL/MCV Single Deck, Switch Metrocity MC960EV & MC880EV, Caetano eCity Gold, Irizar ie Tram 12 and Wrightbus GB Kite Hydroliner. Operators include RATP-DEV Transit, Stagecoach London, Go-Ahead London, Go-Ahead Metrobus, Metroline and Abellio London (now Transport UK).
The details of the bus routes featured on this DVD are as follows:
Route 86: Romford - Stratford, Wrightbus Streetdeck Electroliner buses are operated by Stagecoach London from their Romford, North Street garage.
Route 199: Canada Water - Bellingham, Catford Bus Garage, Wrightbus Streetdeck Electroliner buses are also used on this route, operated by Stagecoach London from their Catford garage.
Route 213: Kingston - Sutton, BYD/Alexander-Dennis Enviro400EV buses are used on this route, operated by Go-Ahead London from their Sutton garage.
Routes 251 and 384: Edgware - Arnos Grove & Edgware - Cockfosters. Both routes are operated with Volvo BZL/MCV single deck buses, the 251 with VMSL 10.8m long buses and the 384 with VMSS 9.7m long buses. Both routes are operated by Metroline from their Edgware garage.
Route 276: Newham Hospital - Stoke Newington, Volvo BZL/MCV 10.8m long buses are operated on this route by Stagecoach London from their Lea Interchange garage.
Route 339: Leytonstone - Shadwell, Switch Metrocity MC960EV buses are in use on this route, operated by Stagecoach London from their Lea Interchange garage. The shorter, single door MC880EV buses also appear on this route.
Route 358: Orpington - Crystal Palace, at 16 miles this is one of Londons' longest bus routes. There are opportunity charging gantries at both termini. The route is operated with Irizar ie Tram 12m buses by Go-Ahead Metrobus from their Orpington garage at Green Street Green.
Route 433: Croydon - Addington Village Interchange, Caetano eCity Gold buses are used on this route, operated by Transport UK (formerly Abellio London) from their Beddington garage.
Falcon Buses, Byfleet, tried a Volvo BZL/MCV demonstrator in February 2024. It operated on Surrey bus route 436, Woking - Weybridge for about a week.
Metrobus, Crawley Route 10: This route and the other Fastway routes are being converted to Wrightbus GB Kite Hydroliner hydrogen fuel cell electric buses. This type of bus has been chosen because of the 24 hour operation of these routes.
