This four disc set features the following titles:

AV431 - The Slam-door DC EMU Waterloo - Southampton (& Hampton Court)
Filmed 1986 to 2004.

Section 1: Waterloo - Hampton Court
After Waterloo we see services pass through Vauxhall, Queenstown Road and activity at Clapham Junction. Then on to Earlsfield, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Berrylands and Surbiton. A quick visit to Hampton Court is made.

Section 2: Surbiton - Brookwood
Returning to Surbiton we then visit Esher, Hersham, Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge, Byfleet & New Haw, West Byfleet, Woking, Brookwood and Pirbright.

Section 3: Farnborough (Main) - Hook
Onwards visiting all stations: Farnborough (Main), Fleet, Winchfield and Hook.

Section 4: Basingstoke
Much slam-door activity is viewed at Basingstoke station between 1989 and 2004.

Section 5: West Basingstoke - Eastleigh
Now to the west of Basingstoke: Worting Junction, Winchester, Shawford and Eastleigh. After watching station movements we visit Eastleigh works and see work being carried out in the early 1990s.

Section 6: Swaythling - Southampton
Swaythling and St Denys are seen before finally arriving at Southampton. We watch a number of departures. The journey continues south on AV432.


AV432 - The Slam-door DC EMU Southampton - Weymouth (& Lymington Branch)
Filmed 1988 to 2007.

Section 1: Southampton - Swanwick
Firstly we head towards Portsmouth and visit stations on that line. St Denys, Bitterne, Woolston, Sholing, Netley, Hamble, Bursledon and Swanwick are seen.

Section 2: Fareham - Eastleigh
We then join a train at Fareham, visiting Botley and Hedge End before arriving at Eastleigh.

Section 3: Millbrook - Brockenhurst
A jump to Millbrook is made. Next we visit Totton, Ashurst (New Forest) and see more slam-door activity at Brockenhurst.

Section 4: Lymington Branch 1989 – 2004
We race a Wessex set from Brockenhurst to the junction. The branch was filmed in 1989, 2002 and 2004 featuring various slam-door stock.

Section 5: Brockenhurst - Weymouth
Returning to Brockenhurst we then visit Sway, New Milton, Hinton Admiral, Christchurch, Pokesdown, Bournemouth, Branksome, Parkstone, Poole, Holton Heath and finally Weymouth where our trip finishes.

Section 6: Lymington Branch 2007
The Lymington Branch still had slam-door stock despite the rest of the network losing this type a couple of years earlier. In the section we see 421498 in green livery operating the Lymington Flyer with a return journey from Brockenhurst to Lymington Pier Head.


AV433 - The Slam-door DC EMU Waterloo - Reading (& Alton Branch)
Filmed 1989 to 2004.

Section 1: Waterloo - Whitton
After Waterloo, services are seen passing Vauxhall, Queenstown Road, Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Town, Barnes, Mortlake, North Sheen, Richmond, Twickenham and Whitton.

Section 2: Barnes Bridge - Windsor & Eton Section
Barnes Bridge, Chiswick, Kew Bridge, Brentford, Syon Lane, Isleworth and Hounslow feature. Returning to the mainline we see Feltham, Ashford and Staines. A visit is then made to Windsor & Eton Riverside.

Section 3: Staines - Weybridge
Returning to Staines, and then Egham, Virginia Water, Chertsey, Addlestone and terminating at Weybridge. Mainline services can be seen on AV431 or AV434.

Section 4: Sunningdale - Alton
Sunningdale starts our next section and at Ascot we see movements before turning west and visiting Ash Vale, Aldershot, Farnham, Bentley and finally Alton.

Section 5: Ascot - Wokingham
Back to Ascot and more activity before we continue westwards visiting Martin's Heron, Bracknall and Wokingham.

Section 6: Winnersh - Reading
Winnersh, Winnersh Triangle and Earley are visited before terminating at Reading, where a number of slam-door arrivals and departures are seen.


AV434 - The Slam-door DC EMU Portsmouth - Waterloo (& Isle of Wight)
Filmed 1986 to 2002.

Section 1: Shanklin - Ryde Pier Head
Firstly we visit the Isle of Wight to see the former London underground stock in operation. Starting from Shanklin we visit Lake, Sandown, Smallbrook Junction, Ryde Esplanade and Pier Head.

Section 2: Portsmouth Harbour & Southsea
Activity is seen at both Portsmouth Harbour and Portsmouth & Southsea between 1988 and 2003.

Section 3: Hilsea - Liphook
Hilsea and Bedhampton feature. At Havant we see a couple of services (more services are on AV424). Next Rowlands Castle, Petersfield, Liss and Liphook.

Section 4: Haslemere - Worplesdon
At Haslemere, in addition to the many slam-door EMUs, a pair of DEMUs passes through on a railtour. Continuing our journey we now visit Whitley, Milford, Godalming, Farncombe, Guildford and Worplesdon.

Section 5: Woking - Waterloo
Most stations are visited on our return to Waterloo as follows: Woking, West Byfleet, Byfleet & New Haw, Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames, Hersham, Esher, Surbiton, Berrylands, Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Clapham Junction, Vauxhall and Waterloo.

Section 6: Waterloo - Bank
We join 487059 for the short journey from Waterloo to Bank finishing, as we started, with tube stock!
