Welcome to our third film looking at the workings of the Swanage Railway. Filmed through 2014 and 2015 we look at a selection of special events staged on this railway covering a wide range of guest engines both steam and diesel.
Steam include Met Tank No.1, Pannier Tank 1501, Schools Class 925 'Cheltenham', King Arthur Class 777 'Sir Lamiel', A1 Pacific 'Tornado' and Standard Pacific 'Britannia'. Diesels include Classes 25, 33, 35, 45, 50, 56 and 66. All supported by members of the home fleet.
As always with our films there is no commentary, but an information sheet guides you through. Enjoy it all as if you were there, whether it's the hustle and bustle of making up and servicing trains at Swanage, to them stretching their legs on the scenic sections towards Corfe, often with the castle as a backdrop.
