This film is a series of snapshots of the vessels using the ports of Dover and Ramsgate. Both are predominantly ferry ports with Ramsgate serving Ostend and Dover Calais and Dunkerque. Dover also sees cruise ships and we see some classics in the form of Saga Rose, Saga Ruby, Princess Daphne and Mona Lisa. At Dover the ferries come and go with the frequency of buses with often several ships manoeuvring to or from berths at the same time. Companies shown at Dover are P&O, Seafrance which becomes My Ferry Link and Norfolkline which becomes DFDS. At Ramsgate the operator is Trans Europa Ferries. However this company ceased trading just after this film was shot and currently no ferries are operating out of Ramsgate. Material for this film was shot between 2008 and 2012.
