Cab Ride: Bristol to Salisbury via Taunton, Exeter and Yeovil Junction.
This is a cab ride filmed on board Class 159 DMU, 159015 as it heads from Loughborough to Salisbury.
Fresh off overhaul at the works, this 3-car unit is heading back to the South West and its home depot. The journey featured here starts at Bristol Parkway with the new four-track running to Bristol TM, then onto Taunton and Exeter.
From here we take the scenic West of England line, passing Exeter Central, Pinhoe, Feniton and onto Honiton. With stretches of single-line running, there are various pathing stops as we go forward to Axminster, Yeovil Junction and Tisbury, finally arriving into Salisbury.
Filmed on a fine summer's day in July 2019, the DMU and ambient sounds are recorded with a special 'thrash-cam' in the back cab, and the ENTIRE journey is shown.
