West German Steam in the 1960s plus Preserved Steam in 1997.

The 1960s with superb colour archive film from West Germany including Class 01, 41, oil fired 41s, Class 44s, Class 03s and the famous oil burning 01/10s on expresses around Ostercappeln at Vehrte Summit and on the Hamburg to Cologne Line.

Crosti boilered Class 50s at Lengerich and Osnabruck Shed. Cassell Station and Yards with streamlined Pacific 01 1001, Unrebuilt 41s and Prussian P8s, Class 44, 50, 38 and 78s in the Black Forest and in the Neckar Valley. Hamburg Shed and Station featuring East German 01-5s, Class 65 tanks on the Erbach to Darmstadt Service, Pacifics in the Hof area.

1997 with a variety of motive power around Rochlitz and near Chemnitz in the former East Germany.03 Pacifics 03 2204, 50-3648, 86 001  and 56 3047 are featured on everything from a 2050 tonne coal train to mixed freight and branch line passenger workings.A wide variety of scenic backdrops provide a reminder of the great days of working steam.
