Railway company:
TPC (Transports Public du Chablais)
The TPC was created in 1999 from the merger of four narrow-gauge railways:
• AL (Aigle – Leysin)
• AOMC (Aigle – Ollon – Monthey – Champéry)
• ASD (Aigle – Le Sepey – Les Diablerets)
• BVB (Bex – Villars – Bretaye)
All railway lines have retained their very special charm to this day. Some of the routes lead through narrow towns. Except for the line to Les Diablerets, all routes have cogwheel sections.
On the one hand, the TPC lines meet local commuter traffic and, on the other hand, are very touristy. From the centers in the valley (Aigle and Bex), the trains run to the surrounding heights, overcoming up to 1400 meters in altitude.
The driver's cab films were recorded in autumn 2011 in the best weather. Since the TPC lines are mountain railways, there are many sections with breathtaking views of the mountains and valley.
