This Cab Ride takes us from Richmond in south-west London to Upminster, the furthest station east on the London Underground network.
We'll be travelling in an S stock train for the 25 mile journey, and along the way we'll see how the District Line has developed from its early beginnings as a sub-surface route in the 1860s. We begin running on the surface, crossing the Thames at Kew before turning east at Acton. After Earl's Court we'll be mainly underground until we reach Bow Road.
