Description

The news from the spring of 2013 is dominated by the new Heritage tram service which operated on ten days over three Bank Holiday weekends. Now extended to Fleetwood, an incredible 23 different trams from the Heritage fleet and double deck ‘B’ fleet were used and all of them are featured on this DVD. Presented in a day-by-day format, as well as filming on the promenade, many of the trams are recorded in the Bispham – Fleetwood section for the first time since 2009. The full list is: 40, 66, 147, 230, 272+T2, 600, 631, 642, 700, 701, 706, 707, 709, 711, 713, 717, 718, 719, 723, 724 and 733+734.

Preservation: A visit to Beamish Museum to see Boat car 605 (233) and Balloon 703 (101).

Nostalgia: The second part of a look at the Twin car revival from 2003. From the green and cream to the colourful Metro liveries and regular use on Fleetwood service, this second part features the summer and autumn of 2003, known as the ‘Year of the Twin’.
