Cab Ride: Eastleigh to Wembley via Basingstoke, Reading and Acton.
This is a cab ride on a Class 47 hauling two newly overhauled barrier coaches from Eastleigh to Wembley.
Filmed on board 47815 'Lost Boys 68-86', the route is relatively straightforward from the Alstom site at Eastleigh via Basingstoke to Reading and onto the GWML. Along to Acton, we take the freight-only line at Acton Wells Junction, passing under and then running alongside the WCML, finishing at Wembley loco holding sidings.
Similar to our other ROG Stock Move cab ride, on these inter-regional journeys, we pass a staggering amount of different trains, from brand new Class 802s to HSTs, various freight, DMUs and EMUs.
Filmed on a fine early-spring day in April 2019, the loco and ambient sounds are recorded with a special 'thrash-cam' in the back cab.
