Blackpool Tram DVD No.62 continues on from where No.61 left off, deep in the autumn of 2010. With the 125th anniversary of the tramway in full swing, this DVD looks at some of the other trams which were in service during the Illuminations including Balloons 701, 715 and 726, Twins 671+681 and 673+683 and various Vintage cars. Add these to the other trams in daily service and with the new operating restrictions planned for 2011, this may well be the best of the last for the Blackpool Tramway.

On Sunday 21st November, open top Balloon 706 'Princess Alice' took part in a special event at the Heaton Park Tramway in Manchester. Operating as a Blackpool Themed Day, Marton 31 (from Beamish) joined residents 619 and 752 and with 706 as well, this turned out to be a superb day. Highlights from the day feature all four trams in service.

Footage of the tramway from winter 2010/2011 as the upgrade continues. There may have been no tram service but rapid progress was made on the new depot at Starr Gate and major track relay jobs at North Pier and Fleetwood plus the departure of Sheffield 513 to its new home in East Anglia.

The 'Supertrams' may well be on their way but the final part of this DVD takes the viewer back to a busy Saturday from September 1998 with action from the old fleet at Broadwater and Cabin. See many of the now withdrawn/sold cars in action including 606 (now in America) and 607, 621, 622, 637, 679, 676+686, 680, 702, 703, 704, 708 and 716.
