National Express Spanish subsidiary Autobuses Urbanos de Leon SA took over the running of the buses in Malta & Gozo on January 8th 2015 ending just over a year of operation by the Maltese government.
This video was filmed in April 2015 and features buses in the green & white Autobuses de Leon livery as well as buses in the old Arriva colours. Autobuses de Leon have imported a number of second hand Mercedes-Benz Citaros from the UK which can be seen in this video together with a number of route buses acquired by Arriva in 2011 including some earlier King Long vehicles and some Scarniff bodied MANs which are now the only Maltese bodied buses still in service. Coaches and open top buses operated by several different operators can also be seen operating tourist & school journeys and the open top round the island routes. Many locations in Malta are featured in this DVD, including Valletta, Floriana, Bormla, Vittoriosa, Paola, Mosta, Rabat, Cirkewwa, Marfa etc.
