The Delivering The Goods series focuses on the major British rail freight companies. This volume features DB Schenker, which took over English, Welsh & Scottish Railway operations in 2007. After more than 15 years of rail privatisation, this remains the biggest chunk of the freight sector, providing a wide variety of traffic flows the length and breadth of the British mainland.

Traction Review.

Steel & Ore Traffic: Classes 60, 66 & 92 filmed at numerous locations on the core routes from South Wales, in the Midlands and the north-east, plus the Santon ore flow.

Coal: Class 66 action in South Wales and the Midlands, and a 'Euroshed' on Scottish duty.

Stone & Cement: Including the Lafarge self-discharge train, the Rylestone Tarmac train, Peak Forest services and the Ketton and Clitheroe workings.

Class 67: A collection of shots showing the diverse work of the Spanish imports since their postal work vanished, including passenger workings for other operators, hauling the DBS management train, and on a variety of freight and stock moves.

Network Rail: A selection of Class 60- and 66-hauled engineering trains, as well as 'Eurosheds' on RHTT circuits.

Intermodal: 66s, 90s and 92s 'on the boxes', including the Stobart/Tesco train.

Oil: 59/2s, 60s and 66s handling the heavy oil flows in South Wales, the services to and from Immingham, the Jarrow tanks and the Fort William fuel service.

Other Work: A selection of one-off commodoties shifted by DBS, such as Binliners, cars, china clay, pipes, sand, blocks and flyash. DB Schenker - Boring, it isn't!
