History was made on 4th April when the first Flexity tram carried passengers to Fleetwood. For the towns of Blackpool, Cleveleys and Fleetwood this was the end of almost 4 years of disruption and broken services and for the Britain's first electric tramway, the second generation began. The new chapter has commenced in fine style and although this issue only covers the first eight weeks of operation, there appear to be some very positive steps.
