
Filmed on the South Western from 1988 to 2004.
Section 1: Weymouth to Poole
We depart Weymouth with views from both inside and outside. The conductor explains over the PA how to use this new train. The service calls at Dorchester South, Moreton and Wool. At Wareham we see a turn-back before continuing to Hamworthy and Poole.
Section 2: Poole to Southampton
After Poole we see services call and pass all stations to Christchurch. New Milton and Sway are visited before witnessing many sets at Brockenhurst. Passing services are seen at Ashurst, Totton, Redbridge and Millbrook before arriving at Southampton.
Section 3: Southampton to Basingstoke
A number of sets at Southampton then we watch services passing St Denys and Swaythling. At Southampton Airport we see a down 10-car stop, followed by a number of services at Eastleigh. Passing trains at Shawford then stoppers at Winchester. Next we pass Micheldever, Worting Junction and to the west of Basingstoke before various services at the station.
Section 4: Basingstoke to Waterloo
Once departed Basingstoke the service is seen passing all stations to Farnborough, where a stop is made. After passing Brookwood we call at Woking. The Class 442 is then viewed passing through most stations en route to London Waterloo.
Section 5: Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour
Firstly we retrace the route from Waterloo as far as Woking. After passing Worplesdon the service calls at or passes all stations to Witley. Then at all stations from Liss to Bedhampton the units are seen. Finally the service arrives at Portsmouth Harbour.
All 24 sets feature at over 60 locations on the two routes.
