Filmed in August & September 1999 when the Pinzgaubahn (Austria) was operated by the ÖBB.

Route length is 52.6 km (32.7 miles). Gauge is 760 mm (2ft 6ins).

Our journey from Zell am See to Krimml is by tourist steam train which uses one of the ÖBB 0-8+4 class 399 nostalgic fleet No. 399.01 (built 1906). On return from Krimml we travel behind diesel loco class 2095 (built 1958-62). At Mittersill the return tourist steam train takes on water in the rain. From Mittersill we travel by Class 5090 DMU and see more Class 2095 diesels. The film finishes with various narrow gauge movements at Zell am See.
