In the last, for a while, Awdry Extravaganza, the Talyllyn Railway put on a superb show over the weekend of 18-20th July 2025.
Visiting from the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway was River Mite, dressed up as Mike, which spent the weekend being hauled around the railway on a flat wagon. Joining Mike was Palmerston (Duke) from the Ffestiniog Railway, which was busy operating footplate rides on a temporary section of track at Tywyn Wharf.
This three disc set features footage from all three days of the gala and includes extensive footage of the trains, as well as the two Awdry exhibitions at Tywyn and Abergynolwyn.
Onboard footage features, with a trip directly behind Mike, providing an unusual view of the Fathew Valley as well as a footplate ride onboard Duke!
