The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, one of the very few complete branch lines in the UK, held several successful events and hauled thousands of passengers along the picturesque five mile branch line throughout 2022.

The railway hosted events including their Spring Steam Gala, the movie premiere of 'The Railway Children Returns', the Railway Children Bank Holiday weekend, Beer and Music Festival, vintage train services and 'The Elf Explorer' returned for another year.

Mince Pie Specials - January 2022: The first weekend of 2022 saw the conclusion of the festive services. Taff Vale O2 No.85 and LMS 2MT No.41241 are seen double-heading their six coach service across the 2nd and 3rd January 2022.

Spring Steam Gala - March 2022: The Spring Steam Gala returned during March 2022, having missed the previous year due to Covid restrictions. The event featured visiting locomotives LMS 7P No.46100 'Royal Scot' and GWR 57xx No.7714. The home fleet included LMS 6P No.45596 'Bahamas', LMS 5MT No.45212, L&YR Class 25 No.52044, Taff Vale O2 No.85, LMS 2MT No.41241 and BR 2MT No.78022.

The movie premiere - The Railway Children Returns - 3rd July 2022: The 3rd July 2022 saw the world premiere of the sequel movie, 'The Railway Children Returns'. On the 3rd July 2022, the railway welcomed invited guests to travel behind film star USATC S160 No.5820 from Oakworth to Keighley. L&YR Class 25 No.52044, famous for its role as 'The Green Dragon' in the original movie was also in action, hauling vintage train services.

Vintage Train Services - Summer 2022: Vintage train services returned for the main summer season, this year, Class 25 No.52044 was the first Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway (L&YR) locomotive to haul all four operational L&YR coaches. Taff Vale O2 No.85 is also seen hauling selected services.

Railway Children Gala - August Bank Holiday Weekend: Celebrating the original 'Railway Children' movie and the newly released sequel, the popular event returned for the August Bank Holiday weekend. The event saw cameo appearances at Oakworth Station, including from onboard the footplate; USATC S160 No.5820 hauling the 'Military Train'; 'The Scotch Flyer' and the rare appearance of the Metropolitan Railway coaches from the Vintage Carriage Trust.

Beer and Music Festival - October 2021: The Beer & Music Festival returned for 2022, running late into the evening, both LMS 5MT No.44871 and USATC S160 No.5820 are seen at various locations, hauling night time services.

The launch of the Class 144 'Pacer': Having been withdrawn from mainline traffic in 2021, two car DMU 'Pacer' No.144011 hauled its first public services during August 2022.

Visiting 'Black Five' No.44871 - October 2022: Having concluded its 'Jacobite' duties for 2022, LMS 5MT No.44871 visited the railway during October 2022. The locomotive operated service across several weekends, including at the Beer and Music Festival.

A wide collection of running days are featured throughout the DVD including lineside shots, an aspect not usually available to the general public.
