Following many requests we are now selling a selection of Austrian Railway DVDs and Blu-rays available from Bahnorama. This long established company have sold programmes by Locorama and Railway Orama for the last decade and these include a great selection of modern, steam and light rail subjects, cab rides and documentaries, plus archive and history. To start we have five cab rides, plus a best-selling documentary. The cab rides are either captions without commentary or English commentary.
Five golden railcars from the 654 series (Regional Sprinter) are currently in use on the Wachau Railway. The operating company NÖVOG is very pleased with the sharp increase in passenger numbers.
A little way off the main road, between ancient masonry, vineyards and flowering embankments, the Wachau has retained its essence. This is the “area” of the Wachaubahn. It has been running here for a good hundred years - and today connects Krems with Emmersdorf opposite Melk. The artful routing in an elevated position results in great views of the world heritage landscape.
