The age of mechanical signalling on the National Network is drawing to a close. In this series we document the last areas of semaphore signalling and signalboxes against a backdrop of passenger and freight workings. In Volume 4 we look at the former London Midland Region from London to the North West and North Wales including the West Coast Main Line.

Plus Manchester signal boxes and semaphores in the 1990s.
