Salvage Squad Car 304
Coronation 304 made a triumphant return to service on 6th January following a six month restoration for the Channel 4 programme 'Salvage Squad'. Complete with VAMBAC control equipment and gleaming in original livery, 304 is featured on its first day back in service. See stunning footage of 304 on the prom in the low Winter sun.
News from the Blackpool Tramway from the Winter of 2002/2003 with a 'stick of rock' all over advert for 761, the return of 644 after overhaul, 40 & 675+685 on enthusiasts tours and the first Twin car to be painted in the Metro Bus livery - 672+682 - orange and yellow! Plus a look at the inside of Driver Training car 632 with its odd heaters, 622 & 632 in the Paint Shop and 647 & 724 in the Body Shop.
Track renewal
Major track renewal started on 6th January at three locations north of Thornton Gate. A site by site report is featured as the old track is lifted and new track is laid.
