In this programme, we visit the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway for their 2025 Diesel Gala. The railway doesn’t usually have galas, so this was a nice change, with an intensive timetable and all available diesel locos in action.
878 Basra debuted in her new LMR Blue livery for the weekend and was joined by two Class 03s, Class 20 No. 20214 and a Class DMU to operate the timetable.
This set features over 30 minutes of footage and includes shots from all three stations as well as a look around the sheds at Haverthwaite.
