The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the only complete branch line in the UK is well re-known for holding their annual Autumn Steam Gala. The event is an important event on many enthusiasts calendars for holding a varied range of trains running along the picturesque five mile branch line.
The annual 2013 Autumn Steam Gala features a strong theme of Western action, featuring three visiting Great Western Engines. Running over the cold, crisp mornings of October the engines are expected to tackle to steep gradients from Keighley to Oxenhope. Featuring at the engine is GWR 15XX No.1501 which recently to steam at the Severn Valley Railway, GWR 78XX No.7812 'Erlestoke Manor' also normally based on the Severn Valley Railway and GWR Large Pairie No.4141 visiting from the West Somerset Railway.
Long term visitor LMS 5MT No.45305 which has been based at the railway during the 2013 season is expected to play an important role over the gala weekend. Also featuring is resident BR Dub-Dee No.90733 which is expected to run as No.90711 and in a weathered condition.
Footage will be included from throughout the event and will feature all the engines that run at the event. Trackside footage will also be included, an aspect not available to the general public. A wide collection of freight, vintage, express and passenger services will also feature throughout the DVD.
