The Year 2022: A look at the status of the Class 37 fleet as of January 2022, with main line operational locos, locos under repair and stored, locos preserved and privately owned - all the liveries, all the locations.
Class 37 Scrapbook: Footage from 1990 to 2015 starting with 37515+37516 on the Redmire Branch and various Railtours and specials in the 1990s; Tees Yard in 1996; passenger and freight in South Wales at the turn of the century; Scotland in 2008 with 37401+37417 to Kyle and 37423+37608 on the Stobart Pullman to Fort William; 37059+37605 on a Railtour at Exeter and 37405+37419 on the Wherry lines, both in 2015.
Preservation: 37403 (first day) and 37703 (last day) at Bo'ness.
The Class 97s: 37100, 37170, 37178 and 37217, better known as 97301 to 97304, are based at Coleham depot in Shrewsbury and are primarily used on engineers and charter trains on the Cambrian lines. This feature looks at the four locos over the years including the early years on ballast and IM trains, the more-elusive 97301, RHTT trains in North Wales, right up to the recent overhauls and the naming of ceremony of 97302 in January 2022.
Autumn/Winter 2021/2022: Footage from England, Scotland and Wales with 37402 on route learning duties at York; ROG action from the midlands with 37510, 37611 and 37800 on unit moves; 37668 in Scotland; 37219+37610 on the Kyle line; 37099+37219 on PLPR duties and 37667 with a pair of 20s on a North Wales charter.
