Big Freight 19 takes the viewer on a countrywide tour, looking at different freight flows, key freight locations and the huge variety of locos that haul these trains. Produced in conjunction with Freightmaster, this best-selling series once again provides a quality comprehensive look at freight in the UK, filmed 2016-2018.

Snow Freight: With much of the country under a blanket of snow in February, how did the rail freight cope? Stunning action comes from Ribblehead, Class 56s on snowplough duties, icicles in tunnels and a Scottish white-out - incredible footage!

Cumbria Freight: From the long-standing Class 37s to 68s and now 88s, flask traffic in Cumbria has seen a transformation over the last three years. Various locos are featured including the first booked jobs for Class 88s on diesel power.

Applehurst and Wrawby Junctions: There are only a few three-way junctions in the country where freight trains dominate and Big Freight 19 visits two of them. Near to Doncaster, Applehurst Junction is a prime spot on a freight-only line with coal, oil and steel trains. Wrawby Junction and Barnetby need no introduction and even though the semaphores have gone, the quality of passing freight still remains. Class 56s, 60s, Royal 66s and 67s provide the highlights, all filmed with the new Colas stabling point in the back ground.

Leeds Midland Road: The Freightliner depot at Leeds Midland Road is an interesting location with 66s and 70s stored and on maintenance. During this visit various locos arrive and depart, two locos are busy in the adjacent Hunslet Yard and four freights pass on the main line.

Plus: Action from Severn Tunnel Junction, colourful GBRf Class 66s, Class 60 run-round at Ayr, a winter weekend at Whittlesea and RHTT action from autumn 2017 with Class 20s, 37s, 56s and 66s.

All sections are introduced with full commentary and maps.
