This programme explores a variety of byways that thread their way through the industrial hubs of the region and into stunning rural locations. Footage here comes from the Severn Valley - rural Staffordshire and the River Churnet, and brushes the edge of the Cotswolds. We also look at engines serving deepest Leicestershire and the Nene Valley.
