
The train was steam powered on most sections and included five different Classes of Beyer Garratt, Classes, 19D, 23 and 24.
Most famously two days were hauled by No 3450 The Red Devil.
Three different mixed trains explored the Barkly East branch with its six reverses, the Lootsberg Pass and a special working from George to Camfer and return.
Additionally a day was spent on the narrow gauge Apple Express with NG16 Garratt No. 131.
