One of the most popular events of 2009 has been the initial mainline operations of the first steam locomotive to be built in Britain for over 40 years - The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust's No. 60163 Tornado.
Our Cameras have followed Tornado around the country since its first movement in Darlington, all of its test runs, the first covenantor trains on the East Coast Main Line in late January, its first working on the Southern Region and the loco's Royal naming at York. Also included is the appearance of Tornado at the Barrow Hill LNER weekend and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Steam Gala in May 2009. Mainline running to the end of April 2009, including working the VSOE Pullman, is featured.
