The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the only complete branch line in the UK is well re-known for holding their annual Winter Steam Gala. The event is an important event on many enthusiasts calendars for holding a varied range of trains running along the picturesque five mile branch line.
The annual 2014 Winter Steam Gala featured the launch of resident S160 No.5820 'Big Jim' running in BR Black, the only event the engine featured in this fictional livery. Running over the cold, damp mornings of March 2014 a collection of engines tackled the steep gradients from Keighley to Oxenhope. Featuring at the event was visiting engine LNER K4 No.61994 'The Great Marquess' the only one left of its class saved for preservation.
Returning to haul passenger trains after an extensive overhaul is USA S160 No.5820 'Big Jim' featured at its first Steam Gala since entering traffic earlier on in 2014.
Footage is included from throughout the event and features all the engines that run at the event. Trackside footage is included, an aspect not available to the general public. A wide collection of freight, vintage, express and passenger services also feature throughout the DVD.
Also featured on the DVD is a short photo charter with visiting engine LNER K4 No.61994 on a freight train running up and down the Worth Valley branch.

We have taken the opportunity to include some extra footage, this includes visiting engine LNER K4 No.61994 'The Great Marquess' on the mainline including 'The Jacobite' and 'The Fellsman'. Footage is also included of LNER K4 No.61994 running normal passenger services over the 15th and 16th March 2014. Also recently returned S160 No.5820 'Big Jim' is featured at the Worth Valley during running in trains during early 2014.
