The Jacobite' is now a world famous steam charter service running from the largest town in the Highlands, Fort William to Britain's most westerly station, Mallaig.

The train journey now attracts thousands of visitors every year.

The 42 mile journey takes you through some of the magnificent scenery Scotland has to offer passing several lochs, climbing steep banks and curving round some strenuous corners.

The journey passes many landmarks including Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous for its role in the Harry Potter movies.

The 21 arch viaduct built between 1897 and 1901 curves round into the small village of Glenfinnan and offers splendid views of Loch Shiel.

The journey also passes Britain's highest mountain, deepest loch, shortest river and most westerly station.

This DVD takes you through a series of film dates in the West Highlands, chasing and filming two of the main engines which run the famous charter service:

LNER K1 No.62005 'Lord Of The Isles'
LMS 5MT No.45231 'The Sherwood Forester'

The programme is simply based around lineside footage of the two engines at various locations along the line, including: Fort William, Glenfinnan Viaduct, Beasdale bank, Loch Nan Umbh Viaduct, Arisaig, Mallaig, Drumsallie and many others.
