Description

This 40-page book has been produced by the FTT, updating the status of their tram and bus fleets as of summer 2020. The recent merger between the BHT and FTT now encompasses the largest number of Blackpool trams in preservation, all owned by a charitable trust.

The FTT tram collection is quite impressive with a varied selection of single and double-deckers from Blackpool's famous fleet including the 1924-built Standard car No.143 and the 1952-built Coronation car 304, star of Channel 4s Salvage Squad; plus several Railcoaches and Balloons and the Illuminated 'Rocket' and 'Hovertram'.

Some of the trams are operational, working for Blackpool Transport's Heritage Tram Tours, some are stored, with others under restoration. The restoration of ex-Towing coach 279 is progressing rapidly.

The buses are not overlooked with No.246, the centre entrance Streamliner spearheading a great collection of vehicles that once served Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.

The book is presented in A4 landscape format with information about each vehicle, numerous images and a full-page image.

As long-term supporters of the FTT, Videoscene is pleased to be selling this on their behalf, raising money for the continued restoration and maintenance on this unique collection. From each sale, £8.00 goes directly to the FTT (see below).

* Please note: The book is £8.00 to buy from the FTT, or from ourselves in our shop and at various shows we attend. The online/mail-order price of £10.00 is to cover the cost of first class postage and packing to any UK address. This means the FTT get the full £8.00 cover price.
