'Steamy Java' visits most of the operational steam powered Sugar Mills in Java. Here many locomotives are close to 100 years old, supplied new by builders in Germany, Holland and Belgium to work at the mills. Access to the inside of the mills reveals much steam powered machinery from giant Mill Engines to Juice Pumps.
Visit also the Cepu Forest Railway built for hauling Teak and the Ambarawa working museum with its rack railway locomotives.
