Six different lines in the Dresden area of south east Germany.
The Weisseritztalbahn from Freital-Hainsberg to Kipsdorf. The Fichtelbergbahn from Cranzhal to Oberwiesenthal. The Pressnitztalbahn from Johstadt to Steinbach. The Lossnitzgrundbahn from Radebeul to Radeberg. The Zittau Schmalspurbahn from Zittau to Oybin and Jonsdorf and the Waldeisenbahn Muskau from Weisswasser to Bad Muskau.
Excepting the 60 cm gauge Waldeisenbahn Muskau, these lines are all 75 cm and use the 7K 2-10-2 tanks plus the 0-4-4-0 4K Saxon-Meyers. The lines are all very different in nature, travelling up stiff gradients to 3000 feet, through remote gorges and open fields and contrasting with urban running through the streets of suburban Dresden. Daily services link in with local bus and mainline trains.
