In this programme we visit:
BELGIUM - the second of a two-part feature on the main line between Namur and Liège. Freight and passenger trains feature including: AM96, AM73, AM08 as well as classes 21, 27, 186 and 77 all appear.
ITALY - a look at railfreight operations at Cava Togozzi with a variety of locomotive classes in action including: private industrial shunters, class 186, 193, 1216, 483, 652, 655, 402, BB36000, 464 and 668. Steel and fuel trains dominate on traffic around a surprisingly busy industrial location tucked away southeast of Milan.
SLOVAKIA - the rail yards around Čierna nad Tisou close to the border with The Ukraine is a fascinating railway location. There are a mix of rail gauges and we see diesels and electrics at work, including double-loco from the Ukraine. Star of the show is an unsilenced class 770.
SWITZERLAND - a brief stopover on the RhB through Reichenau-Tamins, including a view from the cab of a Glacier Express service.
GERMANY - a return to the freight hot-spot that is Lintorf south of Duisburg. Classes BB37000, 77, 146, 151, 152, 155, 185, 193, 232, 261, 294 all appear.
FRANCE - a look at mainline operations around the foothills of the alps including east of Chambéry and at Culoz. BB22200, class 66, EMUs, TGVs, BB26000, BB36000 all feature in a busy rail-line area.
