Presenter David Powell undergoes a training course in the driver's seat of a Hymek and a Class 50 diesel on the West Somerset Railway.

An introduction and preparation of each loco is shown before David takes to the driver's seat and is shown how to drive the loco. The controls and cab layouts are shown following which the loco is driven along the line from Minehead.
