This film was shot over three consecutive days in August 2023. They coincided with the visit by three different cruise ships Vasco de Gama, Ambition and Jewel of the Seas. As well as getting close up to these vessels we feature the Mersey Ferries Royal Iris and Snowdrop as they ply back and forth. Stena Lines ferries Stena Embla and Stena Edda are seen on the service from Birkenhead to Belfast with their twice daily sailings. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Companies high speed catamaran Mannanan links Liverpool with Douglas with a similar frequency. On top of that we see a wide range of vessels plying their trade on the Mersey with tugs and various coastal ships plus deep sea tankers at the Tranmere Oil Terminal. We also catch a glimpse of ships under repair at Cammell Lairds shipyard.
