Originally published in 2010, Classic Trams in Fleetwood has been updated, improved and reprinted.
As the title suggests this 68 page booklet is a pictorial record of the last section of street running on the last traditional British tramway - which was closed for modernisation in November 2009.
Covering the final four years, 2006-2009, it's hard to believe that almost a decade has now past since these trams were an everyday sight in Lord Street.
Presented in the format of one picture per page and printed on glossy paper, many old favourites are featured here. From the effervescent car 700, 703, 710 and 712 to the colourful 707, 709 and 719, the double deck fleet are well represented. Stunning after-dark images add to the occasion and perhaps the most outrageous image is Roadliner test tram 611 - prior to being destroyed by fire - next to Coronation 304 at Tram Sunday 2006! The Western Train and the last night are also featured.
As can be expected from the author, the images are to an incredibly high standard and with detailed captions, this is timely reminder of Blackpool trams on the streets of Fleetwood in their final years.
