Working our way through 121 hours of unused and unseen archive railway film, shot between 1981 and 1999; and all recorded with the original audio on tripod-mounted cameras.
Highlights of Volume 7 include:
North West: Manchester Victoria in 1982 with 40s and Peaks on passenger trains; 47473 with a portion train and Class 104 DMUs, plus Guide Bridge with stored 76s.
West Highland line: A snowy trip to Fort William and Mallaig in March 1985 with steam heat 37s, 012, 033, 043, 051, 191 and Ethel 2. Classic West Highland sights and sounds!
Stafford: Footage from 1999 with 47194+47217 on a Railtour and no-heat 37s on passenger including 377 and 675 plus rare footage of 37298 running around its train.
South West: Torquay and Exeter in the 1980s and 1991 with 08s, 33s, 45s, 47s and 40135+40057 on a Railtour.
Midlands: Tamworth, Lickey, Worcester and Burton starting in 1980 in the all-blue era with 47s, 56s and HSTs, plus DMUs.
Sheffield Area: A Class 126 DMU plus 20s and 56s on coal and engineers trains, Peaks and 47s on passenger trains and the very traditional setting of Shore Hall with an 08 and 76s.
Derby to Skegness: The last Summer Saturday of 1981 and a ride behind 20087+20068 working the 09.22 to Skegness. Various other locos are seen including 03149, 03389, 31300, 40022 and 45004.
So much more than just trains passing the camera!
