Riding in the cab of a London Midland Class 170 we start at Wolverhampton then turn left at Wolverhampton North Junction and pass through the train care depot at Oxley and head off into the countryside.

Rural stations that seem untouched by the passage of time bring us to Madeley Junction where the branch to Ironbridge diverges. Finally we arrive at Shrewsbury with its magnificent array of semaphore signals and manual signal boxes.
