The age of mechanical signalling on the National Network is drawing to a close. In this series we document the last areas of semaphore signalling and signal boxes against a backdrop of passenger and freight workings. In this programme we explore the lines North from Peterborough, throughout Lincolnshire and in and around the East Midlands in the former Eastern Region of British Railways.
