South East Bus Festival -  2nd April 2022
The 2022 South East Bus Festival took place at the Kent Showground, Detling, near Maidstone, on 2nd April 2022 as part of the Heritage Transport Show, organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society. A large number of buses and coaches took part, both old and new, one of the newest was the Volvo BZL electric bus demonstrator and the oldest was the Leyland Lioness charabanc originally owned by White Rose Coaches of Rhyl, dating from 1929. The Kent Showground covers a large area and as well as the buses and coaches there were large displays of cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles. Parts one and two of this chapter feature many of the buses and coaches in action on the route around the showground, giving the public the opportunity to ride on vehicles old and new. There was a parade of the vehicles during the afternoon, which included cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles as well as various buses and coaches. Part three of this chapter was filmed at the end of the day and features many of the buses and coaches as they were making their way home. There was also a display of Leyland Nationals celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the introduction of this type of bus. All in all, an excellent day, sunny weather prevailed, there were also talks in the Clive Emson Conference Centre by several speakers on various transport subjects.

Alton Bus Rally - 17th July 2022
The Alton Bus Rally and Running Day was another large event held on 17th July, 2022 at Anstey Park in Alton, Hampshire. There was a large static display of buses and coaches in Anstey Park, several bus routes were also operated from the park to destinations such as Selborne, Whitehill, Odiham, Lasham, Bentworth and Farnham, giving the public the chance to ride on many of the buses and coaches on display. About 110 buses and coaches attended the rally plus a substantial number of cars and commercial vehicles. This video features many of the buses and coaches in action in Anstey Park, Anstey Road and at Alton Station where most of the bus routes called in on their way to their destinations. The weather was sunny and hot, a characteristic of the summer of 2022. Another excellent day with a wide variety of buses and coaches, plus the chance to ride out to the Hampshire countryside on buses old and new.
