News from the Manx Electric from the Autumn and early Winter of 2003 including the new Works Locomotive No.34, a rebuild for car 20, Trailer 45 - body scrapped, new doors for Douglas car shed, the start of winter track work plus car 22 working the revised winter timetable.

Due to a car rally the MER service was suspended between Laxey and Ramsey during the morning of Saturday 2nd August. This meant that all trams terminated and started at Laxey. This was a rare opportunity to see the regular Winter Saloons and their Trailers shunting around at Laxey, much in the same way they did in the 1976-77 period when the line to Ramsey was closed. In addition to the Saloons, cars 1+51 appeared on specials adding further interest to an already crowded Laxey station. There is full coverage of the morning period with five car-sets featured.

Laxey Car Shed: Part Five.
The final part of our feature on the movement of the long stored cars from Laxey to Homefield garage. Cars 50 & 53 are featured plus the final line-up and position of cars at Homefield.

1993 remembered:
A decade has now passed since the MER celebrated its centenary. To remember the occasion, previously unseen footage recorded on 7th September 1993 is featured including the procession of trams filmed just south of Laxey station.
