MER news from the Summer of 2003 including footage of the new MER diesel works tram, the return to service of car 32 and repaints for cars 20 & 43.

Nine days on the MER:
Filmed between 24th July and 2nd August 2003, we teamed up with the Isle of Man 50 Group for their events week and this, together with the MER at its peak all contributed to a fascinating time. Footage includes cars 2+51 to Ramsey, cars 1 & 2 in a parallel run to Groudle to mark the 110th anniversary of the MER, 26+60 & 19+56 to Ramsey in the evening plus intensive service day featuring 5+59, 33+37 and five other car sets. In addition there's a feature on the evening service, 1+51 & 16+60 on specials, car 9 on the Groudle shuttle and so much more. All in all it was a remarkable and thoroughly enjoyable nine days and this is a timely record of the Manx Electric at its very best during the Summer of 2003.
