Description
A 'Wired for Sound' cab ride from Asfordby to Banbury on GB Railfreight's 8X09, delivering newly-built S Stock for London Underground. Includes the rarely seen branch from Ashfordby to Melton Mowbray and the fascinating 30-mile 'freight only' route from Knighton South Junction to Branston Junction via Coalville and Moira West. After crossing the West Midlands through Water Orton, Washwood Heath, Landore Street and Tyseley, the journey continues via Dorridge Loop, Leamington Spa, Fenny Compton to Banbury.
Traction for the train is provided no less than 4 Class 20s (2 at either end of the train) - all of which provide some excellent thrash to accompany the fascinating views from the cab.
